Freelance Writing

While I love the opportunity to build teams and think strategically about content in my full-time roles, I am always thrilled to have the opportunity to take on assignments in a freelance capacity. Whether it’s feature writing, Q&A stories, or copy-editing full issues, lending a hand as needed for local media outlets is a fun change of pace and a great creative exercise for me.

Why I’m Proud of my Work Freelancing

• I get to diligently acquaint myself with the tone, style, and goal of a particular media outlet and ensure that my contribution effectively fits the mold, while still embedding my unique style and voice.

• So much of my day-to-day career has transformed into more managing and strategic thinking — which is a blast — but stretching the muscle I use in my freelance work is equal parts challenging and rewarding. I love it.

• I live in a truly cool town and freelance writing is really just my master plan to meet and get to know as many rad folks as possible.
