During my time as the Assistant Director of Editorial Services with the UCF Alumni Foundation, I acted as the head writer for the team working to establish deeper relationships with the alumni population. Through writing donor appeals, event scripts, and alumni features, my writing contributed to the overall alumni engagement strategy.

Why I’m Proud of my Work at University of Central Florida

  • My writing was not only featured on the UCF Alumni blog, but I also played a role writing for UCF News and for the esteemed alumni magazine, Pegasus.

  • I rewrote the entire UCF Alumni website during an in-depth overhaul.

  • I reworked several standing and cyclical communications tools to have clearer language and a refreshed voice.

  • They liked me so much at UCF that they brought me back in a freelance capacity to continue writing for the team and assisting with communications efforts.

  • It’s where I went to school; it feels good to work with your alma mater.

  • I wrote a feature on an alumnus from the band Sister Hazel and he invited me to one of their shows and I got to meet the people who wrote the 1994 smash-hit, “All For You”
